The 'Time Machine'! (DAY 6)

The Time Machine! (DAY 6)

The most treasured heirlooms are the memories of childhood. The Day 6 of the School Internship on 09.11.2020 (Monday) offered me a chance to go back to one of the fond memories I associate with my childhood- Doing crossword puzzles in Balarama! The online platform offers you a chance at experimentation. To try and to explore new things. The solace the home environment offers might prompt us to do things better. To push us to our limits. To step out from our comfort zones. You tend to think if not now then when? The Covid has taught us the temporary nature of life. Let’s try to make the best of the situation.

Crossword Puzzle in class

Highlights!

Upon reflection, I could list out the following highlights:

  • Prayer

Prayer to protect nature!🙏🙏🙏

Prayer often offers you a sense of calmness and positivity to many. Nature is the best gift that is enjoyed by human beings. When we acknowledge the value of nature through prayer it offers a new meaning to the whole class.

  • Model of Earth

Still model of the earth!

I made a still model of the earth using paper and paint, then planted a plant inside it to transact the importance of planting trees.

  • Crossword

The crossword on Natural Disasters

The crossword seemed to be a good idea to teach the students the different types of disasters. Using hand-drawn pictures I could transact the idea clearly. By making it into a puzzle I could ensure the participation of all the students. It was a huge plus.

  • Notice

The model poster was shown to the students

We are living in an online world where we can’t breathe without technology. The notice was made online and the students were also prompted to do the same. They seemed to like the online poster making activity.

  • Reading

Emphasis on Loud Reading. It worked wonders!

Giving daily emphasis on reading I could really improve the reading skill of the students. As the class progressed the teacher could see visible improvement in the students.

  • Homework

Homework page of Afnan

The continuous recap and follow up of the homework worked wonders. Without prompting the students began to complete their notes and send the picture to me.

Day 6 marked constant progress from the part of students and the teachers. I hope it remains the same. 💓🙏
