Can you guess "Who I am"? (DAY 5)

Can you guess "Who I am"? (DAY 5)

The Day 5 of the School Internship on 06.11.2020 (Friday) was very liberating. It’s a liberating experience when you are able to reduce the gap between the lesson plan and real classroom teaching. Most often especially in an online platform, it’s very difficult to follow the lesson plan. The teacher has to improvise at every turn. But this day I was able to maintain a balance between the two. It was a relaxing feeling. The feeling that I am doing something right. It’s very rewarding.

Highlights

Upon reflection, I could list out the following highlights:

  • Who am I?

Who am I?

The class started with a riddle game-
Who am I? The riddle questions were related to nature. The students guessed the answers correctly without much prompting. It was very entertaining.

  • Origami Mountain

The Paper Mountain is reday within minutes!πŸ’ͺ

The teacher and the students made an origami mountain in the classroom. It felt good to see that the students were able to follow instructions well. All of them made Paper Mountain within minutes. It was a task well implemented.

  • Innovative word study

The references from film and cricket were used for the word study. It sparks the curiosity of the learners and they responded well to the questions.

  • Activity

A humble effort to svae the earth!

The students were taught the art of poster making and they were told to make their own posters.

  • Home Work

Everyday I make it a point to review the homework of the students. It really acted as a form of reinforcement and the students co-operated well too.

PowerPoint Presentation

The first week of the school internship was really an eye-opener. It's always best to learn new things, to be able to adapt to new things, and to work earnestly towards making things better. That was Day 5 for me. After the weekend I will be back with renewed energy and hope, to experiment and try out new things! Here is to making the best of the situation that you find yourself in, what's the point in lamenting about the things that we can't change?
